Distinguished_from_undefined
An undefined Ajna has an activated gate that lends a recurring angle of thought to recognise. A completely open Ajna has none, so there is no mental frame of reference against which a borrowed certainty can be tested.

The Ajna is the awareness centre for conceptualising, analysing and holding a fixed way of thinking. It is completely open when no gate in it is activated at all, which is a narrower state than a white Ajna in general. What you take in is other people's certainty, their frameworks and their opinions, and you run them convincingly while you are in their company. Because no concept is fixed in you, you can occupy a position fully one evening and find almost nothing left of it the next morning.

Provenance: rewritten 22 August 2026 to describe the genuinely open state (no activated gates), after an audit found these rows were describing undefined centres Sources: https://jovianarchive.com/Stories/10197/The_Completely_Open_Center_is_Defenseless; https://jovianarchive.com/products/open-centers-without-activations; https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0872/4984/6576/files/Open_Centers_without_Activations_-_eBook_Sample.pdf; https://jovianarchive.com/pages/the-nine-centers-of-the-bodygraph-in-human-design; https://www.humdes.com/en/kb/centers/ Noted at time of writing: General open-centre mechanics and the Ajna theme wording are sourced to Ra Uru Hu via Jovian Archive; the not-self trap of appearing certain is corroborated on Jovian's nine-centres page. The per-centre chapter body is paywalled, so detail beyond the theme title is drawn from the centre's documented function. No numbers claimed. Not yet reviewed by a certified practitioner.
