Human Design does have a lunar cycle, and it belongs to Reflectors. Their Strategy and their Authority amount to the same instruction: when a decision of real weight arrives, start counting from that moment and let the Moon finish one full circuit of the 64 gates before committing. Across that circuit the Moon touches every gate in turn, briefly completing channels through the Reflector's open centres, so the same question gets sampled from a slightly different configuration almost every day.

Provenance: researched and cross-checked 22 August 2026 against Jovian Archive and humdes.com Sources: https://jovianarchive.com/pages/lunar-authority-in-human-design-why-reflectors-need-29-5-days; https://jovianarchive.com/pages/reflector-human-design; https://www.humdes.com/en/kb/authority/lunar-authority/ Noted at time of writing: The duration genuinely differs between sources and I have not resolved it. Jovian Archive says approximately 29.5 days, which is the synodic (phase) month; humdes.com and most of the wider field say 28 days, which is closer to the sidereal month of about 27.3 days, the period in which the Moon actually returns to the same gate. The mechanic (a full circuit of the 64 gates) is agreed everywhere; only the number is disputed, so the entry states both rather than choosing. If the app needs a single figure for a countdown timer, that needs a human decision rather than a guess. Not yet reviewed by a certified practitioner.
