How to give Bella context in 3rd Person charts

3 min read

Please note: This feature is only accessible by Personal and Pro members. Please see our plans if you haven’t already upgraded.

Bella is a powerful and customizable AI assistant in HumanDesign.ai, designed to adapt its insights based on personalized context. When analyzing third-person charts, providing Bella with a brief and clear description of the individual helps her generate insights that are highly tailored to the person’s unique circumstances. This makes the readings not only accurate but also relevant and actionable.

Adding context is particularly useful for practitioners, coaches, or anyone managing multiple charts. By using Bella’s AI Context feature, you can ensure that her guidance aligns with the individual’s lifestyle, profession, and goals.

Steps to Add Bella Context #

  1. Open the chart you want to customize. Navigate to the specific chart in your dashboard.
  2. Go to the Settings tab. Look to the right-hand side of the chart interface and select the Settings tab.
  3. Locate the AI Context field. Under the Basic Settings section, find the AI Context input box.
  4. Write a brief description of the individual. Add a short, third-person description of the person that includes details such as their profession, interests, location, or life goals. For example:
    • “Bob is a graphic designer from London who enjoys traveling and learning new design trends.”
    • “Sara is a teacher passionate about early childhood education and working with underserved communities.”
  5. Click Update Chart. Save your changes to apply the context. Bella will now use this information to deliver more relevant insights.

Tips for Writing Effective Context #

  • Be Specific and Concise: Include meaningful details about the person without exceeding 300 characters. Focus on key aspects like:
    • Profession: “Software developer,” “Artist,” “Small business owner”
    • Interests: “Loves hiking,” “Passionate about sustainability,” “Enjoys mentoring others”
    • Goals: “Wants to expand their business,” “Focused on personal growth,” “Seeks better work-life balance”
  • Avoid Overloading Details: Keep the context focused and clear. Too much information can dilute Bella’s ability to tailor her insights.
  • Use Third-Person Language: Always write in the third person, as Bella is designed to process context from that perspective. For example:
    • ✅ “Alex is a fitness trainer who helps clients achieve their health goals.”
    • ❌ “I am a fitness trainer who helps clients.”
  • Highlight Unique Traits or Goals: Personalize the description by including traits that make the individual unique. For example:
    • “Jane is an introverted writer who enjoys exploring the intersection of art and technology.”

Examples of Great Descriptions #

Below are examples of effective context descriptions across different scenarios:

Profession-Focused Descriptions: #

  • “Chris is a marketing strategist specializing in digital campaigns for startups.”
  • “Angela is a chef passionate about creating sustainable, plant-based recipes.”
  • “James is a software engineer working on AI technologies and cloud computing.”

Interest-Focused Descriptions: #

  • “Ella is a musician who enjoys experimenting with different genres and composing original scores.”
  • “Mike is a wildlife photographer who loves capturing rare species and raising awareness about conservation.”
  • “Rachel is a dancer dedicated to modern and contemporary choreography.”

Goal-Focused Descriptions: #

  • “John is a life coach aiming to help individuals discover their true potential and purpose.”
  • “Sophia is an entrepreneur seeking to scale her ethical fashion business globally.”
  • “Dan is a student exploring career options in engineering and technology.”

Combined Contexts: #

  • “Hannah is a yoga instructor from New York, committed to helping her clients find balance and mindfulness through movement.”
  • “Carlos is a digital nomad who works in web development and dreams of building his own startup.”
  • “Nina is a social worker with a passion for helping children in underserved communities access better education.”

Practical Use Cases for Bella Context #

Adding Bella context is beneficial in numerous scenarios. Here are some common ways you might use this feature:

For Human Design Practitioners: #

Practitioners often manage multiple charts for clients. Providing personalized context for each client allows Bella to generate insights that reflect their unique circumstances. For example:

  • If a client is a business owner, Bella can focus on entrepreneurial strategies aligned with their energy type.
  • If the client is exploring career transitions, Bella can prioritize insights on decision-making and potential strengths.

For Coaches and Mentors: #

Life coaches and career mentors can use this feature to tailor readings to their client’s goals. For example:

  • “Liam is a recent college graduate exploring careers in environmental science.”
  • “Amy is a corporate executive looking to improve her leadership skills and work-life balance.”

For Parents Creating Family Charts: #

Parents can use third-person descriptions to help Bella provide insights into their children’s unique designs. For example:

  • “Ethan is a creative and curious 8-year-old who loves building things and solving puzzles.”
  • “Lila is a 5-year-old with a nurturing personality and an interest in animals.”

For Personal Exploration: #

Even when working on third-person charts for friends or family, context makes the insights more practical. For instance:

  • “Mark is an aspiring musician balancing his passion for music with a full-time job in retail.”

Why Adding Context Matters #

By adding personalized context, you’re enabling Bella to align her guidance with the individual’s real-life circumstances. This feature transforms chart readings from being general and theoretical to deeply actionable and practical.

When used effectively, Bella becomes more than an assistant—she becomes a personalized guide, offering insights that feel relevant, empowering, and connected to real-world experiences.
