          William Jennings Bryan's Biography

          American politician, lawyer and noted orator, the peerless leader of the Democratic Party. A member of the U.S. House of Representatives, he ran unsuccessfully as a candidate for U.S. Presidency in 1896, 1900 and 1908. Bryan formerly worked as a newspaper editor and lawyer. During the famous Scopes trial, he debated Clarence Darrow.
          He died on 7/26/1925 in his sleep in Dayton, Tennessee at age 65.
