          Umberto Cisotti's Biography

          Italian mathematician, physicist, and teacher who wrote about 200 publications dealing mainly with flat hydromechanics by the method of complex variables. He also dealt with the Paradox of D’Alembert and the scie.
          In his later years he was interested in tensorial calculus and its applications. He also wrote some treatises on tensorial calculus, flat hydromechanics, mechanics and algebraic analysis.
          He died in Milan on 6 July 1946, aged 64.
