          Tom Candiotti's Biography

          American pro baseball pitcher. After receiving a business degree from St. Mary’s in CA., he was signed as an independent free agent with Victoria 7/17/1979. From there he signed with the Kansas City Royals, 1/05/1980, placed on the disabled list June 1980, and transferred to the Milwaukee Brewers, 12/09/1980. Candiotti has played for the Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, L.A. Dodgers and signed last with the Oakland Athletics 12/09/1997. Due to injuries, he was placed on disabled lists for a number of years.
          Statistically he pitched a 2-0 one-hit, complete-game victory against New York 8/03/1987. At 6′ 2″, 221 lbs., Candiotti throws right, bats right and has played in the championship series game in 1991 and the division series in 1996. He played in the American League for eight years and the National League for six years as of 1998.
