          Timothée Chalamet's Biography

          French-American stage and screen actor, he grew up between New York City and Chambon-sur-Lignon in France. After having begun his career in short films and television series, he played his first major role in Christopher’s Nolan 2014 science-fiction film Interstellar.
          In 2017, Chalamet gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Elio Perlman in Luca Guadagnino’s romantic drama Call Me by Your Name, after which he appeared in the 2017 coming-of-age films Hot Summer Nights and Lady Bird as well as the western Hostiles. His performance in Call Me by Your Name earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, making him the third-youngest nominee in the category. He then portrayed a drug-addicted teenager in the drama Beautiful Boy (2018), for which he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. In 2019, Chalamet starred as King Henry V and Theodore “Laurie” Laurence in the period dramas The King and Little Women, respectively.
          On stage, Chalamet starred in John Patrick Shanley’s autobiographical play Prodigal Son in 2016, for which he was nominated for a Drama League Award and won a Lucille Lortel Award.
