          Thomas O’Malley's Biography

          American democratic politician, a U.S. Representative from Wisconsin, who introduced the Johnson–O’Malley Act in the House which was passed on 16 April 1934. The Johnson–O’Malley Act was law to subsidize education, medical attention, and other services provided by states to Native Americans, especially those not living on reservations. It was effective only in Minnesota.
          Thomas O’Malley died on 19 December 1979 at age 76 in Chicago, Illinois.
