Tenga Rinpoche's Biography
Tibetan teacher (Lama) in the Karma Kagyu tradition, recognized as a reincarnation of Lama Samten at the age of seven. He studied at Benchen Monastery and was an expert in mandala painting and sculpture. After stays in Lhasa and India he founded a second Benchen Monastery in Pharping (1976). In 1986 the third Benchen Monastery was established in Kathmandu. Tenga Rinpoche regularly visited France and gave teachings at the Kagyu Dzong in Paris and at Vajradhara-Ling in Normandy. On 21 September 2003, he laid the foundation stone for the Peace Temple in Normandy. He died on 30 March 2012 at 79.
