          Susan Howard's Biography

American screen actress, screenwriter, and political activist, perhaps best known for portraying the character Donna Culver Krebbs on the primetime TV serial Dallas (1979–1987), and as a co-star of the series Petrocelli (1974–1976). Her performance on Petrocelli was subsequently nominated for both the Golden Globe and Emmy awards. She made a guest appearance on Star Trek (1968), playing the first female Klingon (“Mara”) on the original series (and the only one to ever speak).
Since leaving television, Howard has become an increasingly active supporter of conservative causes, especially for “gun rights.” In 1989, she was co-host of “The 700 Club”. Howard has been active in the leadership of both the NRA and the Texas Republican Party.
She is also a screenwriter and member of the Writers Guild of America.
