          Stu Sutcliffe's Biography

          British artist and musician, a painter and bass player for The Beatles at their formation in 1960.
          He accompanied the band on their first tour abroad in Hamburg, Germany, August-November 1960. While there, he met and fell in love with photographer Astrid Kirchherr, who styled his hair in what would become known as a “Beatle haircut”, with the bangs combed down toward the eyes.
          When the rest of the band were forced to go home at the end of November 1960, he stayed in Hamburg to be with Astrid.
          He died of an aneurysm, severe bleeding in the right ventricle of his brain, in Hamburg on 10 April 1962, age 21.
