          Roy Sullivan's Biography

          American forest ranger in Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park. He was a human lightning rod, struck by lightning seven times. In April 1942 he was struck down the right leg, in July 1969 on the right side of his head, in July 1970 with second degree burns, on 4/16/1972 his hair was set on fire when he was struck inside a building, on 8/16/1976 his shoes were blown off when struck and he felt sure that he died briefly, and on 6/25/1977, when he was struck for the final time, he felt that he died while in the hospital for four days.
          Sullivan shot himself on 9/28/1983.
