Robert Fauve's Biography
French biologist.
Fauve was a fellow at the National Institute of Hygiene (1956), Doctor of Medicine (Paris, 1957). He was admitted as a Research Associate at the Rockefeller Institute (1960-1961). Assistant at the Institut Pasteur (1962), he was appointed head of the laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Garches (1967). In 1971, he joined the Department of Molecular Biology and became professor and head of the Cellular Immunology Unit (1973). He spends most of his research in the experimental study of the pathophysiology of the inflammatory response.
In 1958 he won the prize of the Faculty of Medicine.
In 1984 he won the Celine prize.
He died 26 November 1995, Paris.
