French educator, a Professor at the Catholic University of Angers. He wrote as the religious columnist at the Figaro newspaper and devoted his time to working on the biography of Mother Yvonne-Aimée de Malestroit, a canonization candidate.
Laurentin was the author of a number of books including “Mary’s Place in the Church,” 1965, “Catholic Pentecostalism,” 1977 and “Presence of Saint Joseph in the life of Bernadette of Lourdes,” 1998.
He died in Paris on 10 September 2017, aged 99.
