          Rafael Gaston Pérez's Biography

          Nicaraguan musician and composer. From the age of five and ran the arc Marimba granadillo and formed a strong trio with his mother and aunt, known as “Little Family of managuas” which used to liven up social gatherings in the city. The musical restlessness Gaston Perez, led him to found magnificent ensembles and orchestras as “Black Cats”, “The Student Marimba” Don Abraham Sanchez, “Olympic Casino”.
          He was soon established as a recognized figure in the Nicaraguan romantic song, he stood out as a great composer and musician, achieving such popularity that transcended the borders of his country, mainly due to the virtuous and perfect way to run the trumpet, his favorite instrument since it was multifaceted expertise to execute various instruments such as guitar, bass, percussion, marimba, xylophone and piano.
          In his career he traveled to different countries: Costa Rica Max Julio Blanco. El Salvador in 1948 by integrating the “International Orchestra Polillo” xylophone playing and singing guarachas, Venezuela where he joined the orchestra “Billo’s Caracas Boys”. His most famous bolero is the exquisite named Melody “Sincerity”, which was recorded internationally for the first time by Lucho Gatica with the trio “The Pilgrims”, when the interpreter was just beginning his successful musical career and thanks to this bolero received a boost becoming one of the most important songs of his career.
          On 4 February 1962, he died at age 45.
