          Qahtani Septuplets's Biography

American septuplets born in a three-minute interval, between 11:25 and 11:28 PM, five boys and two girls born to an Arabian-Muslim family. All were a little over two pounds with the smallest, a girl, being the heartiest and breathing on her own.
Their mother was in good condition after the Caesarean section at Georgetown University Hospital. She had taken fertility drugs and chose to not abort any of the fetuses. The gestation was just over 28 weeks and six of the seven were breathing with the help of ventilators, in incubators. The delivery was incredibly complicated, with 25 people, seven SWAT teams in effect, coordinating activity around the mother.
There were only two other sets of surviving septuplets in the world, one born to a Saudi Arabian woman in 1998 and one born in Iowa in 1997.
In December 2001, it was reported that one of the Qahtani septuplets had died of liver failure and three were still hospitalized.
