          Princess of Prussia (1829) Luise's Biography

          Prussian princess of the House of Hohenzollern, as the second child and eldest daughter of Prince Carl of Prussia and Princess Marie of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1808–1877). Her paternal grandfather was Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia. On 27 June 1854 she married Alexis, Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld at Charlottenburg Palace. The marriage remained childless and ended with a divorce on 6 March 1861. She died on 10 May 1901, aged 72, in Frankfurt.
