          Princess of Bavaria Hildegard's Biography

          Bavarian princess as the seventh child and fourth daughter of Ludwig I of Bavaria and Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
          On 1 May 1844 in Munich, Hildegard married Archduke Albrecht of Austria, eldest son of Archduke Karl, Duke of Teschen and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg. She thereafter became known as Archduchess Hildegard. She and her husband had 3 children.
          Archduchess Hildegard died of a lung inflammation and pleurisy on 2 April 1864, aged 38, in Munich.
