          German nobleman, as the eldest son of Frederick V (Friedrich V), the Winter King, and his wife, Elizabeth Stuart, daughter of King James I of England.
          Henry Peacham’s 1615 ode to James’s infant grandson, “Prince Henrie Revived,” presents Heinrich Friedrich (Henry Frederick) as the revival of his son Henry and the renewal of the Protestant cause in Europe.
          Henry Frederick drowned on 7 January 1629 at the age of 15. He was on his way to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to see the captured Spanish treasure fleet there and drowned crossing the Haarlemmermeer.
