          Philipp Ellinger's Biography

          German-Jewish pharmacologist who co-developed the fluorescence-based intravital microscopy and the presence of riboflavin in the body of mammals. He showed that antibacterial chemotherapy can lead to pellagra by reducing the formation of nicotinamide in the intestine.
          He died on 12 September 1952, aged 65, in London, England.
