          Peter Wolf's Biography

American musician, a songwriter and the lead singer with the “J. Geils Band” before recording as a solo artist. His performances were characterized by dark clothing and vivid moves onstage, similar to a puppet in electroshock. He always wore black.
Wolf had an unstable childhood in the Bronx. He spent three years on scholarships at the Boston Museum of Fine Art.
In 1972 he met Faye Dunaway, three years older, and they married in 1974. As they were both deeply involved with the stress of emerging careers, they divorced in 1979.
The J. Geils Band split in 1983, but reassembled for a 15-city Great American House Party tour, starting on 7/23/1999 in its Boston hometown, featuring four founding members.
