Per Jorsett's Biography
Norwegian sports journalist, shooter, and writer. He worked as a freelancer at the sports paper “Sportsmanden” (‘The Athlete’) 1945-1961 and at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation 1947-1992.
He is best known as a radio- and TV commentator, forming a commentating duo with Knut Bjørnsen. Bjørnsen did most of the commentating of the actual events while Jorsett took care of the results, lap times, and scores. For 30 years they were two of Norway’s most popular sports commentators.
Jorsett died on 30 January 2019 aged 98.
