          Paul Sinner's Biography

          German photographer noted for documenting Swabian national costumes, architecture and cityscapes over a fifty year period. With the painter Wilhelm Hornung he established the studio “Hornung & Sinner, painter and photographer,” later Sinner ran his own nationally recognized studios.
          For his photos of the Bebenhausen monastery he received a “Gold Medal for Art and Science” from King Karl of Württemberg in 1868. Sinner was the only photographer from the Kingdom of Württemberg who was allowed to present his work in the “Graphic Art” section at the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873.
          Paul Sinner died on 30 March 1925 in Tübingen at age 86.
