          Paul Masson's Biography

          French cyclist who competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens at age 19, he raced in three track cycling events, all on the same day, winning every one: Time trial, 2 km Sprint and 10 km.
          After the Olympics he turned professional and changed his name to Paul Nassom, Masson spelled backwards. Without further major successes, his best finish was a third place in the 1897 World Professional Sprint Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
          Paul Masson later was a doctor of medicine by profession. He died on 30 November 1944 at age 68 in Cannes.
