          Paul Friedrich von Stälin's Biography

          German archivist and historian who served as director of the Royal Württemberg state archive in Stuttgart from 1901 to 1905. He was the son of the archivist and historian Christoph Friedrich von Stälin (1805-1873).
          From 1882 to 1887 his main work, Geschichte Württembergs (History of Württemberg), was published in two half-volumes, as a continuation of his father’s work, Württembergische Geschichte. In 1888 he published Geschichte der Stadt Calw (The history of the city of Calw).
          He was the author of over 50 articles in Allgemeinen Deutschen Biographie (German Biographies), especially biographies of the counts and dukes of Württemberg, but also about people in Swabian history, including his father.
          Paul Friedrich von Stälin died in Stuttgart on 1 April 1909 at age 68.
