          Patrick McGoohan's Biography

          American-born British actor who was best known for his highly successful TV series roles in “The Prisoner” playing a NATO agent, “Secret Agent,” 1961-1965 and “The Prisoner,” a 1968 series that ran for 17 weeks. After stage experience, he was in British films from the mid-50s. Some of his films included “Zarak,” 1955, “High Tide at Noon,” 1956, “Life For Ruth,” 1962 and “Ice Station Zebra,” 1968. McGoohan won an Emmy Award in 1975 for his guest appearance on “Colombo.”
          McGoohan died at age 80 after a brief but undisclosed illness on January 13, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA.
