          Otto von Faber du Faur's Biography

          German military officer and painter from Württemberg, best known for his virtuoso representations of battles. His works form a synthesis of Impressionist and Expressionist work.
          Otto von Faber du Faur was the son of the general and battle painter Christian Wilhelm von Faber du Faur.
          He was the father of the painter Hans von Faber du Faur (1863-1940) and the grandfather of the painter Armgard Faber du Faur (1894-1977).
          Otto von Faber du Faur died on 10 August 1901 in Munich at age 73.
