          Otto Hitler's Biography

German infant of a noted family, the younger brother of Adolf Hitler. Four other children, Gustav (1885-1887), Ida (1886-1888), Edmund (1894-1900) and Paula (1896-1960), were born to their parents, Alois Hitler (1837-1903) and Klara Pölzl (1860–1907).
Otto Hitler died at 7 days old, on 23 June 1892, of hydrocephalus, a medical condition in which there is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain. This causes increased intracranial pressure inside the skull and may cause progressive enlargement of the head if it occurs in childhood, potentially causing convulsion, tunnel vision, and mental disability. It was once informally called “Water on the brain.”
Historians previously and mistakenly recorded the year of Otto’s birth and death as 1887.
