Marcelle Dujarric de la Rivière's Human Design Chart

5/1 Self Projected Projector

French upper middle class socialite who held a salon musical from 1930 until the 1970s in her hôtel in Boulogne-Billancourt. Guests of the hotel salon included Princess Edmond de Polignac, the comte Étienne de Beaumont, Marie-Blanche de Polignac, the comtesse Marie-Laure de Noailles and her spouse, Charles de Noailles, and Isabel and Henry Goüin.
Marcelle Friedmann was the third child of Adolphe Friedmann (1857-1922), a Berlin businessman, and Elisabeth Nathan (1871-1940), and the sister of sociologist Georges Friedmann.
In 1926, she married microbiologist René Dujarric de la Riviere, with whom she had a daughter, Elisabeth, and two sons, Jean-René and François. A close friend of Maxim Jacob and the Benedictines of the Abbey of En-Calcat, she converted to Catholicism. She was taught piano by Isidor Philipp, the organ by Marcel Dupré, Louis Vierne and André Marchal, and took classes with Nadia Boulanger to composed some melodies.
From 1928 to 1930, the couple built a modernist-style three-storey mansion designed by a relative, the architect Louis Faure-Dujarric, in the Parc des Princes, near the Bois de Boulogne and the Porte d’Auteuil in Boulogne-Billancourt. The mansion housed an organ designed by Gustave Lyon and Jean Huré, and had a terrace that served for fifty years as a nexus for social gatherings.
For 40 years, notwithstanding the years of the War, between 17 February 1941 and 25 August 1944, during which the hotel was requisitioned by the Wehrmacht, the organ was used by Nadia Boulanger, a pupil of Louis Vierne but also a confidante and friend of the hostess.
Marcelle Dujarric de la Rivière died on 6 March 1982 in Boulogne-Billancourt, aged 82.
