          Lúcio Maia's Biography

          Brazilian guitarist, also known as Jackson Bandeira, of the Recife band Nação Zumbi, which together with the band Mundo Livre S/A gave rise to the Manguebeat movement. He was chosen by the magazine O Dilúvio as the best guitarist in Brazil seven consecutive times. He has been in the band since its inception, a period when Chico Science was the singer, still remaining in the current line-up with lead singer Jorge du Peixe.
          In 2007, Lúcio released his first solo album with the Maquinado project, called Homem Binário and in 2010 the second Mundialmente Anônima: O Magnético Bleeding of Existence. Also in 2010, he incorporated the band Almaz together with singer Seu Jorge and bassist Antônio Pinto, releasing the album Seu Jorge e Almaz. In 2011, he participated in the recording of the songs from the album Verdade uma Idições by singer Marisa Monte and was part of the band that accompanied her on tour shows in 2012 and 2013.
          He has four children and is married to the actress Maria Manoella who was born in Rio de Janeiro but is now based in São Paulo.
