          Lou Webb's Biography

          American midget car specialist and an American race car driver who was killed in a 100-mile AAA championship race.
          On 2 September 1940 in Syracuse, New York, on the 17th lap of a 100-mile AAA championship race he rode right over Kelly Petillo’s car, hurtling into the air, then somersaulted down the track. Petillo was virtually unscathed, but Webb was critically injured. He died a few moments later. He was aged 28.
