          Lou Kimzey's Biography

          American creator and publisher of the gritty biker magazines Easyriders (1970-2020) and Iron Horse (1979-2011). Easyriders became a world sensation, the largest selling newsstand motorcycle magazine in the world with a circulation of over 550,000 copies. He was CEO of Paisano Publications, as well as the Editorial Director of several other monthly magazines and periodicals.
          Lou Kimzey was a biker himself, and along with Keith Ball, created A.B.A.T.E. At that time it was an acronym for “A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments.” It is now known as American Bikers Aimed Toward Education. A.B.A.T.E. advocated for biker’s rights.
          Kimzey died on 17 November 1997 at age 69 in Los Angeles. He was also known as Spider and Miraculous Mutha.
