Belgian physician (MD, 1874), an associate of the University of Brussels (1876), substitute of the course of histology at the University of Brussels (1877), Professor of medical matters at the University of Brussels (1880), doctor of civilian hospitals from Brussels (1881, and Chief in 1884), Professor of Pathological Anatomy at the University of Brussels (1889) and Professor of Internal Clinic at the Saint-Jean Hospital in Brussels (1890). He was editor of the Brussels Journal of Medicine, and a member and former secretary of the Society of Medical and Natural Sciences of Brussels. He died in Hasselt on 14 July 1945, aged 94.
