Belgian physicist, writer, translator, astrologer, photographer and computer programmer.
He studied physics at the universities of Antwerp and Gent. Since he discovered that many interesting subjects like astrology and parapsychology are left aside by most traditional scientists, he tried to help bridge the worlds of traditional and “proto-“science, by organizing lectures and doing astrological research. He gave lectures in Belgium, Holland, the UK, the USA and Serbia.
He wrote the astrological computer programmes Radix and Tara, the biorhythm program MiniBio and the psychological test called TGV.
His unique astrology programme Radix was designed to do research on astrological statements. Radix5 features the opportunity to do a chi² test (with 11 degrees of freedom) to test an astrological hypothesis, by comparing selected groups (persons/entries with particular astrological sign or other properties) against a chosen or by chance generated reference database. By doing chi² tests on it, Radix 5 can tell you if the tested relationship is astrologically seen statistically relevant, or more likely, as is often the case in astrology, just a selected the theory fitting by chance finding.
Koen has a special interest in astrological synastry, writing about in “Astro-Logika”. He is very interested in the subject astrology and science. He founded the Belgian workgroup Werkgroep “De Ronde Tafel” (the round table), that studies the cutting edge (“randgebieden”) of science and philosophy.
But to survive in this material world, he had to do different jobs, he writes on his website. He worked as a geophysical research associate, programmer, mathematical analyst, etc. The last years he mostly acted as a mathematics, physics and photography teacher, wine seller and photographer.
Personal
On November, 28 1998, Koen married Dragana Ili?, an astrologer, in Novi Sad. Their first child Boris was born 15 November 2000 in Gent. His son Aschwin was born during his first marriage.
