          Kitt Reuter-Foss's Biography

          American mezzo soprano opera singer with an operatic repertoire that includes the roles of “Suzuki” in Madame Butterfly” and “Flora” in “La Traviata,” as well as performances in “Rigoletto,” “Cosi Fan Tutte” and “The Ghosts of Versailles.”
          Reuter-Foss earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut as the Second Lady in “The Magic Flute,” and her international operatic debut was with the New Japan Philharmonic. Described by her fans and peers as “born to sing,” she has sung with many opera companies and never fails to mesmerize the audiences with her bright, engaging personality. She exhibits a strong flair for the dramatic in both her personal and professional lives.
          In 1990, she was a Metropolitan Opera National Auditions winner. She has been the recipient of many other awards as well, including receiving the first annual Alumni Achievement Award from her alma mater.
          Reuter-Foss and her family live in Wisconsin where she works as a voice teacher and coach. Someone who truly loves to teach, she has led master classes around the United States.
