          Kevin Young's Biography

          American first baseman who played twelve seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1992–1995, 1997–2003) and Kansas City Royals (1996). He batted and threw right-handed.
          Young was signed by the Pirates on 4 June 1990 after being selected in the seventh round of the free-agent draft. He played with the team for six years before being signed by the Kansas City Royals on 1 April 1996. Young played for Kansas City for only eight months before being re-signed by the Pirates on 31 March 1997.
          Young holds several records, including the league record for highest fielding percentage by a first baseman. He played his final game on 27 June 2003.
