          American accident fatality. A senior at Franklin High School in Franklin, MA, Kerri was killed on December 2, 2002 in a two-car accident on a snowy road. She had dreamed of being a kindergarten teacher and was on her way to Next Generation Children’s Center in Franklin, where she worked each day after school. Just four days earlier, she had been featured in a Boston Globe newspaper article about students working as interns; in the article she fervently talked about her hopes to attend the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and major in early education. She was an active participant in her school’s annual Powder Puff football team, a cheerleader, a member of the lacrosse team, and the Future Teachers of America Club. She was known for her enthusiasm, her ability to make every one feel better, and for the puppet shows that entertained so many of her young charges
