          John Scott Haldane's Biography

          Scottish writer, scientist, philosopher and physiologist. He is noted for his books, “Sciences and Philosophy” in 1929, “Respiration” in 1922 and “The New Physiology” released in 1919.
          Haldane’s family is full of intellectuals. His brother Richard Burdon, born in 1856, is a noted philosopher and politician and his sister Elizabeth Sanderson, born in 1862, is a noted writer and Scotland’s first Justice of the Peace. Haldane had two children; his son John Burdon Sanderson, (1892-1964), became a noted writer of humorous science and children’s stories and his daughter, Naomi Mary Margaret, born in 1897, wrote numerous fictions and three volumes of autobiography, illustrating her commitment to social and political circles in which she moved.
