          Johann Elert Bode's Biography

          German astronomer and mathematician who gave his name to the law that established relationships between the orbits of the planets in our solar system. He served as the director of the Berlin Observatory in 1786 and edited a 54-volume ephemeras. Bode lost his right eye in an accident; he injured it with his pen knife.The name of “Uranus” goes back to his purpose, as well as the new symbol.”The standing position of the symbol pleases to the eye and can be seen different to Mars or capricorn.” First published in 1785 form and name were generally agreed.
