          Jimmy Wynn's Biography

          American baseball player, primarily a center fielder, who had a 15-year career in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Houston Colt .45s/ Astros (1963–1973), Los Angeles Dodgers (1974–1975), Atlanta Braves (1976), New York Yankees (1977) and Milwaukee Brewers (1977). Wynn’s nickname was “the Toy Cannon” because his bat had a lot of “pop” for his small size, 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), 160 lb (73 kg). Wynn died in Houston, Texas on 26 March 2020, two weeks after his 78th birthday.
