          Jim Gillette's Biography

          American football halfback in the National Football League who played for six seasons with the Cleveland Rams (1940, 1944–1945), the Boston Yanks (1946), the Green Bay Packers (1947), and the Detroit Lions (1948).
          In 1983, Gillette was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He died on 9 January 1990 at age 72 in Richmond, Virginia. His son, Walker Gillette, also played in the NFL.
