          Jill Ireland's Biography

          British actress, playing in lead parts since the 1950s. A former professional ballerina, her films include “The Mechanic,” 1972, “Love and Bullets” in 1979 and “The Evil That Men Do” in 1984. Her first marriage was to David McCallum 1957-1967. She often appeared in films with her second husband, Charles Bronson, whom she married in 1968. They had seven children.
          After breast cancer in 1984, she became a spokeswoman for the American Cancer Society. Ireland died of cancer on 18 May 1990 in Malibu, California.
