          Jean Jordan's Biography

American contestant on a TV game show called Big Brother, a show set in “real time.” It is not scripted and is not intended for younger audiences as the language and situations have the spontaneity of real life. Ten young adults, strangers to each other, were selected to live for three months in a closed environment in order to observe their interaction, entering their Big Brother house on 7/04/2000. After voting one of their housemates off every week, the last remaining contestant wins $500,000 on 9/30/2000.
Jordan is a 5′ 4″, 126 lbs. student who celebrates her 27th birthday in Big Brother house. She is a student majoring in sociology and filmmaking at Minneapolis’ University of Minnesota.
Jordan has had some interesting jobs. She once campaigned door-to-door for an environmental agency and worked as an exotic dancer for two years to pay for her education. She once back-packed through Central and South America and considers finishing the Ironman triathlon her greatest accomplishment.
Serious-minded and disciplined, Jordan’s principal interests include training and participating in triathlons, studying homeopathy and alternative medicine, creative writing and reading. As books go, though, the one that earns the place of honor on her shelf is Webster’s Dictionary.
A film buff, Jordan confesses she has too many favorites to mention, but admits a preference for documentaries and “films with social commentary.”
When not exploring the crisp, cool lakes of Minnesota, Jordan opts for the warmer waters of the tropics. She’s not particular about the destination, just as long as there are “palm trees and I can scuba dive.”
