          Ingemar Pevik's Biography

          Norwegian resistance fighter of World War II as part of the Norwegian brigade in Scotland. He was born in Idaho, but grew up in Nord-Trøndelag after his family returned to the country in 1917. His brothers Johnny and Arthur were also resistance fighters during the war.
          Prior to the war Pevik worked as a furniture carpenter. With the invasion of Norway in 1940, Ingemar and his younger brother Arthur went over to Britain; Ingemar served in the ‘Norwegian company, Iceland’ that was established on Iceland to teach and train British and American forces in military skiing and how to do war in snow and during the winter. From 1944 and to the end of the war, Pevik participated in the Norwegian reconnaissance squadron.
          Pevik died on 31 March 1993 in Trondheim aged 81.
