          Imo Moszkowicz's Biography

          German actor ,director and writer.
          In 1942 he was deported with his family to Auschwitz concentration camp. While his mother and two of his siblings were murdered, Imo was abducted to the Buna-Werke in Monowitz concentration camp. After the liberation by the Red Army near Liberec he returned to Germany. After graduating a drama school Imo Moszkowicz was nominated as assistant director of Gustaf at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and Fritz Kortner at Berlin’s Schiller Theater . As a director and actor, he was in Santiago worked at the local chamber playing and later at the Habima in Tel Aviv and – with over 100 productions – at almost all major theaters in the German-speaking world, including at the Zurich Opera , the Munich Gärtnerplatztheater , at the Oper Frankfurt and at the Graz Opera House. He was also director of the Kreuzgangspiele wet cheeks . He also led in more than 200 television films and series director. As a visiting professor he taught at the Max Reinhardt SeminarVienna, Mozarteum Salzburg and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz .
          He died 11 January 2011.
