          Hermann Euler's Biography

          German dental physician who co-wrote the textbook of dentistry (1915) with Gottlieb Port. It has become the scientific standard work for many generations of students and dentists under the name “Port-Euler” in several editions over many decades.
          In 1928 he became president of the German Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Dentistry (DGZMK), and in 1949 he wrote his memoirs under the title of “Lebenserinnerungen eines Lehrers der Zahnheilkunde” (Memoirs of a Teacher of Dentistry).
          He died on 17 April 1961, aged 82, in Cologne.
