          Herbert Sieronski's Biography

          German professional cyclist active from 1930 to 1937. Three times he started with the national team at the Tour de France, in 1931 he finished in 20th place and in 1932 ranked 39th twice, in 1930 and 1937 he won stages of the Tour of Germany. In 1932 he finished third in Paris-Roubaix, won Marseille-Lyon, and in 1933 won the Circuit du Mont-Blanc. In 1934 he finished third in Berlin-Cottbus-Berlin.
          His former team colleague Kurt Stöpel dedicated a whole chapter to Herbert Sieronski in his book Tour de France. Sieronski died in 1945 in Soviet captivity.
