Henry Scholberg's Biography
Indian-born American director and librarian of the Ames Library of South Asia at the University of Minnesota. His works include bibliographies on Indian encyclopedias, on manuals and gazetteers of India, and on the Portuguese in India. He also authored other scholarly works, plays and novels, as well as his own memoirs.
Scholberg died on 4 August 2012 at age 91 in New Brighton, Minnesota, six years after suffering head injuries in a cycling accident. His wife of 61 years, Phyllis, survived him. The couple had three children.
