          Heinrich von Sick's Biography

          German judge and politician, who served from 1862 to 1872 as mayor of Stuttgart and then until his death as Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Württemberg. In his ten-year tenure as mayor, he devoted himself primarily to reforming the social system and expanding the infrastructure of the rapidly growing residential city.
          Heinrich Sick belonged to the Evangelical Church . He had been married since 1849 but had no children. Dr. Christian Christlieb Heinrich von Sick died on 13 October 1881 at the age of 59 in his hometown of Stuttgart from peritonitis.
