          Heinrich Krabbel's Biography

          German physician and medical councillor, who was chief physician of the surgical department of the Maria-Hilfhospital in Aachen. Two of his sisters were ecclesiastical and socially engaged women: Gerta Krabbel (1881-1961) was a long-term chairman and later honorary chairman in the Catholic German Women’s Union, and her younger sister Emilie (Niny), who married Imdahl (1889-1969), was also a member and honorary member of The International Bruckner Society. She was also the mother of the later art historian Max Imdahl.
          Heinrich Krabbel married Emile Greve (1858-1926) and their son Max (1887-1961) became a surgeon. Krabbel died in 1918.
